Hotmail allows us to create single or multiple calendars with different permission levels and with different view modes such as weekly, monthly, daily. You can organize, schedule appointments, set reminders, and you can tell people when you will be busy and when you will be free by sharing the information.
How to Share a Personal Calendar in Hotmail
There are two options available for the hotmail users for sharing their calendar with others.
Sharing Calendar with a Single Person:
- Sign into your account and click the ‘Options’ button on the top right hand corner.
- On the left side of the page ‘Calendar’, click on the third link.
- Clink on the ‘calendar Options’. Choose the ‘Manage Shared Calendars’ and click on it.
- Click on the link titled ‘Share Your Calendar.’
- Type the email address of the person with whom you want to share the calendar. If you did not remember, you can choose from ‘My Contacts’ list. Scroll down and click on ‘Next.’
- Select the information you want to display for the person. Select whether you want to display all the appointment details or just the timings when you will be free and when you will be busy. And click ‘Next.’
- With a personal note which is not mandatory, click ‘Finish’ and the ‘Ok.’
Sharing Calendars with Everyone:
- Follow the same procedure till you choose the option ‘Manage Shared Calendars.’
- Click the link called ‘Publish Your Calendar’ that enables others to see your calendar.
- Choose the appointment information you want to display and copy down the link, which acts as a website allowing everyone to view your calendar.
- Save changes.
