When someone sends mail to one of his or her contacts and delivers bulk copies to others at the same time, it could go to the junk mail folder instead of the regular mail box. In result the mail might never be noticed by the targeted person. However such situation is not warranted and it may therefore be necessary to create a safe list in Hotmail.
Creating Hotmail Safe List
When a safe list is created in Hotmail, the messages that come up with a bulk of other will never find place in the junk mail folder. User should open his Hotmail account by signing and using the username and password. Thereafter he should select an e-mail address to be added to the safe list. This could be accomplished by copying the email id from the received email or from memory lists. On the top right hand corner on the screen one will find the “help” link and then click on the “mail” option. Clicking the “Junk E-Mail Protection” in the mail options add the mail selected by pasting option or using ctrl+v option on the keyboard. This will add the email address to the safe list.

Benefits of creating a safe list would be multiple. On the one hand the messages from genuine contacts that you wish to view would come to your mail box if the address matches with one in the safe list. At the same time having the safe list would mean the mail box will no more be loaded with all types of mails that the website considers safe though they might not be of any use to you. If one or more of the addresses outlive their utility for you, they can always be removed using the remove options in the Hotmail you use.
