Many a times, you get mails from people whom you do not know. Moreover, these mails are not important and only waste your time. While most of such mail is caught by the spam filters, some people are smart enough to create a mail that bypasses the spam and junk filter. Still, there is a method by which you can block the sender using his email address in hotmail. Let us see how to achieve this.
Guideline on How To Block A Sender By Email Address In Hotmail
1. Login to your hotmail account using your hotmail ID and password.
2. Click on the OPTIONS and select “Safe and Blocked Senders” and then “Blocked Senders”.
3. A dialog box appears that has a text box with a larger box below it. To the right of the text box are the options Add, Remove, Ok and Cancel.
4. You can type the email ID that you want to block. Make sure you spell the email ID correctly. It is better if you copy the unwanted email box and paste it in the text box to avoid any errors. Once done, you click on the Add button. The email ID is transferred to the larger box below the text box.
5. In case you added a wrong email ID, select the email to restore from the list in the large box below the text box and click remove. The email ID will be removed, that is, unblocked.
6. After you add all the email IDs that you want to block, click OK to get out of the dialog box.
Now you can be assured that no mail from the blocked email IDs will reach your inbox or spam folder. You can remove the ID from blocked anytime using the method mentioned in the step number five.
